NATIONAL YOUNG ARTISTS SUMMIT

11am – 5pm, 6-8pm After Party
This full-day Summit, entirely designed and led by young people, provides opportunities for young artists, ages 13-20, from a range of artistic disciplines, to connect, create, and celebrate. The Summit is free, but pre-registration is required. Space is limited. Lunch is provided.
This year’s summit centers topics on arts entrepreneurship, art making and creative expression, arts activism, leadership development. Throughout the day there will be moments to share your art with other young people from across the nation. The summit ends with an after party of dancing, art sharing, and art making.

CALL FOR PRESENTERS AND PERFORMERS
The NYAS Youth Planning Team is currently seeking proposals to present, perform, or share work at the 2019 National Young Artists Summit in Austin, TX. Young artists, ages 13-20, are encouraged to apply by Thursday, August 22, 5pm (ET). Honorariums are included.
The Summit has been planned by a core team of young artists from Texas, Arizona, Georgia, California, Maryland, Kentucky, Massachusetts, and Michigan, who are working in concert with their peers across the country to shape this incredible experience.

ATTEND THE 2019 CONFERENCE FOR COMMUNITY ARTS EDUCATION
The National Youth Arts Summit is being hosted in partnership with the 2019 Conference for Community Arts Education, a national convening which brings together more than 700 leaders and educators from a range of backgrounds to share knowledge, build relationships, and advance a common vision: a nation where arts education is accessible and embraced as essential for human development and healthy communities. Up to 40 day passes are available for young artists ages 13-20 to attend Thursday and/or Friday sessions (first-come, first-served)

Register for the Conference for Community Arts Education (Adults)
A limited number of travel stipends are available for young artists (13 – 20) to attend the Summit, as well as the 2019 Conference for Community Arts Education. Organizations may request travel stipends for up to three young artists from their program. Youth Artists can be reimburse up to $500 in travel expenses (e.g., airfare, hotel, ground transportation) per young person. Travel stipends are available on a first come, first served basis.
